Nature's Cleanser for Glowing, Healthy Skin
We thought it'd be fun to feature our masks this October -- the facial cleansing masks, that is! Clay masks are known for detoxing the skin and drawing out impurities and oils. In addition, clay contains beneficial minerals such as calcium, magnesium, silica, iron, copper and potassium.  It rejuvenates the skin, soothes irritation, and improves skin tone -- plus it's completely natural! We have four types of cleansing masks -- White Kaolin Clay, French Green Clay, Rhassoul Clay, and Activated Charcoal -- and they are ALL 30% off for the month of October. We get a lot of questions about the differences between the masks, so we thought this would be a good time to discuss each type of mask.

Which Mask Should I Choose?
Here's some information about each type of mask we carry, so you can decide which is best for your skin and purposes.

White Kaolin Clay Mask
White Kaolin Clay is also known as China Clay or cosmetic clay, and it's a versatile clay used in many cosmetics. It's named for China's Kao-ling mountain, where it was mined for centuries. It's a mild exfoliant that enhances elasticity while it freshens and cleanses.  Because it is such a gentle clay, it's perfect for people with sensitive skin.  It can be used on all skin types, but is especially well-suited for those with dry, aging, or sensitive skin.

French Green Clay Mask
This clay has super-absorbent power for drawing out toxins and oils, and it has been used for centuries as a beauty treatment. Plus it's rich in minerals and phytonutrients to refresh tired-looking skin. Its toning actionstimulates the skin, and it is great for spot-treating and clearing occasional skin blemishes. This clay is best-suited for those with oily or acne-prone skin.

Rhassoul Clay Mask
Also known as Moroccan clay, this clay effectively extracts impurities, dirt and oil from the skin. This high-end clay is mineral-rich and silky-smooth for a luxurious spa-like experience. It is thought to have texture-improving effects to promote smooth and glowing skin. Because of its absorption qualities, it's effective for clearing occasional blemishes. This clay can be used for normal to oily skin.

Activated Charcoal Mask
This mask is a combination of Activated Charcoal and Bentonite Clay. Because Activated Charcoal is known for drawing toxins from the skin, it is commonly used for acne-prone skin. The Bentonite Clay absorbs impurities and oils and contains healing properties. It is a gentle yet powerful clay with many beneficial minerals to nourish the skin. This product can be used for all skin types, but it's well-suited for oily or problem skin.

Another great thing about our masks is that each jar has enough clay for multiple masks. If you use 1 tablespoon of the clay per mask, you'll have at least 8 applications. If you use 1 teaspoon per mask, you'll have 24 applications! As long as the moisture stays out, the clay will keep indefinitely.
