​What is Lanolin?
Lanolin is an all-natural moisturizer derived from sheep's wool -- specifically it comes from the sebaceous gland of a sheep. Its texture is similar to petroleum jelly (without the petroleum, of course!) so it's thicker than a typical lotion -- more like an ointment or salve. This effective emollient softens and smooths dry skin while providing a layer of protection to help keep moisture in. 

How do I use it?
This versatile product has many uses:

• Lanolin has been used for eczema and dermatitis since the late 19th century. 
• Use on chapped lips -- for children and adults. 
• Windburned cheeks? Put some lanolin on them. Better yet, use lanolin beforehand to protect those cheeks.
• Lanolin has long been used by breastfeeding mothers for chapped and cracked nipples. It is gentle and soothing.
• Apply to any chapped skin.
• Use on babies' bottoms to treat diaper rash. 
• Tender skin from blowing your nose? Apply some lanolin to moisturize and protect the area. 
• Use on rough patches such as elbows, knees, or heels.
• Apply to help heal minor cuts, burns or skin abrasions. It has anti-bacterial properties.
